Mayflower Cruise Terminal parking
Mayflower is the westernmost of Southampton's five cruise terminals, set deep in the Western Docks at Berth 106 behind Dock Gate 10. It handles some of the port's largest ships, and there is little around it — so almost everyone arrives by car. Our gated, patrolled park and ride site is a six minute transfer away, and every site we list is visited in person before it goes on sale.
The terminal
Where is the Mayflower Cruise Terminal?
Mayflower sits at Berth 106 on Herbert Walker Avenue, in the Western Docks, and is reached through Dock Gate 10 — sat-nav postcode SO15 1HJ. It is the furthest west of Southampton's terminals, run by Associated British Ports alongside Ocean, City, Horizon and QEII. There are no hotels beside it and Southampton Central station is a 20 to 30 minute walk, which is why most passengers drive in and leave the car with us.

Which ships sail from the Mayflower terminal?
Mayflower takes some of Southampton's biggest vessels — Cunard's Queen Mary 2, P&O's Aurora and Britannia, Princess Cruises' Sky Princess and Viking's Viking Venus among them. A cruise line is never tied to one terminal, though, so always check the berth on your e-ticket rather than assuming.

Check the berth number, not the cruise line. The same ship can sail from a different Southampton terminal on a different date. Your e-ticket carries the berth, and that is the only reliable source. Tell us the terminal when you book and we will note it on your confirmation.

How does Mayflower parking work?
You book a dated space online, drive to the car park on the day, and reach the terminal by transfer, on foot, or by handing the keys to a driver. All three use the same gated, patrolled sites — the only difference is that last step to the Mayflower gangway.

Getting there
How do I get to the Mayflower terminal?
From the motorway, follow the M27 to the M271, then join the A33 towards the docks and follow the brown signs for Dock Gate 10. Our team gives you the exact route to the car park in your confirmation — you do not need to find the gate yourself. On Saturday cruise mornings the roads around the Western Docks are busy, so leave a little extra time.

How far is the car park from the Mayflower terminal?
Our park and ride site is about a six minute transfer from the Mayflower terminal at Dock Gate 10. Park and walk customers are within a short walk, and meet and greet takes your car at the terminal door, so there is no transfer at all.
Is the Mayflower terminal the same as Southampton Cruise Port?
Yes. Mayflower is one of Southampton's five cruise terminals, alongside Ocean, City, Horizon and QEII. They are all run by Associated British Ports and served by the same gated car parks we list on our Southampton Cruise Port page.
How do I know if my ship uses the Mayflower terminal?
Your cruise line confirms the terminal on your e-tickets, usually around three weeks before you sail, using the berth number. Mayflower is Berth 106. If you tell us the ship and sailing date when you book, we will note the terminal on your confirmation.
What time can I drop off at the terminal?
Drop-off times follow your cruise line's check-in window. Arrive at the car park about 45 minutes before check-in opens to cover the drop-off, luggage and transfer with room to spare on a busy turnaround day.
What if my ship docks back late?
There is no extra charge for a delay outside your control. Call the number on your confirmation when you can and we will let the site know to expect you later.
