Cancellations and refunds

What happens if your plans change. The rules are the same before you book as after.

Last updated 4 August 2026

The short version

72 hours or more before drop-off: refunded, less a £25 administration fee.
Less than 72 hours before drop-off: not refundable.
Changing rather than cancelling: free up to 24 hours before drop-off.

If you are not sure whether you will travel, changing your dates is almost always better than cancelling. Changes are free up to 24 hours before, and can be made more than once.

How to cancel

Reply to your confirmation email, or call +44 7984 320734. Have your booking reference to hand. We will confirm the cancellation in writing — if you do not get that confirmation, the booking is not cancelled, so please chase us.

The 72 hours is measured back from your booked drop-off time, not from your sailing or flight time. If you are dropping off at 09:00 on Saturday, you need to cancel by 09:00 on the Wednesday.

The administration fee

An administration fee of £25 is deducted from every refund. It covers the card processing costs we cannot recover and the space we have already committed to with the operator.

When refunds arrive

Refunds go back to the card you paid with. We process them within one working day of confirming the cancellation; your bank then takes up to five working days to show it. We cannot refund to a different card or to a bank transfer.

If we cancel

Very occasionally an operator loses access to a site — flooding, a lease ending, a safety issue. If that happens we will contact you as soon as we know, offer you an alternative site at no extra cost, and if nothing suitable is available, refund you in full with no administration fee.

Delays and no-shows

If your ship or flight is delayed on the return leg, there is no additional charge. Call us when you can so we can tell the site.

If you do not arrive at all and have not cancelled, the booking is treated as used and no refund is due.

Your statutory rights

Because we supply parking for a specified date, the 14 day cooling-off period under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 does not apply. This does not affect your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 if the service is not carried out with reasonable care and skill.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled a cancellation, write to complaints@southcruiseparking.com. You can also seek free advice from Citizens Advice.

Not yet reviewed by a solicitor. This is a working draft written around how the business actually operates. Before launch, have a UK consumer-law solicitor check it — particularly the cancellation terms against the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.
