Where is the Ocean Cruise Terminal?

Ocean sits at Berths 46 and 47 on Cunard Road, in the Eastern Docks, and is reached through Dock Gate 4 — sat-nav postcode SO14 3QN. It is the busiest of Southampton's five cruise terminals, all run by Associated British Ports, and handles many of the port's largest turnarounds. Ships & lines

Which ships sail from the Ocean terminal?

Ocean is a home port for P&O Cruises and Cunard, with Royal Caribbean, Princess Cruises and AIDA Cruises also calling through the season — Arvia, Iona, Britannia, Queen Anne and Anthem of the Seas among the ships you will see there. A cruise line is never tied to one terminal, though, so always check the berth on your e-ticket rather than assuming.

Check the berth number, not the cruise line. The same ship can sail from a different Southampton terminal on a different date. Your e-ticket carries the berth — Ocean is Berths 46 and 47 — and that is the only reliable source. Tell us the terminal when you book and we will note it on your confirmation.

How does Ocean parking work?

You book a dated space online, drive to the car park on the day, and reach the terminal by transfer, on foot, or by handing the keys to a driver. All three use the same gated, patrolled sites — the only difference is that last step to the Ocean gangway.

Getting there

How do I get to the Ocean terminal?

From the motorway, follow the M27 to the A33 (Platform Road) into the Eastern Docks, then follow the brown signs for Dock Gate 4 — the gate for the Ocean terminal. Our team gives you the exact route to the car park in your confirmation, so you do not need to find the gate yourself. Ocean is the busiest berth, so on Saturday cruise mornings the approach can be slow; leave a little extra time.

Help

Ocean terminal parking questions

How far is the car park from the Ocean terminal?

Our park and ride site is about a six minute transfer from the Ocean terminal at Dock Gate 4. Park and walk customers are within a short walk, and meet and greet takes your car at the terminal door, so there is no transfer at all.

Is the Ocean terminal the same as Southampton Cruise Port?

Yes. Ocean is one of Southampton's five cruise terminals, alongside City, Mayflower, Horizon and QEII. They are all run by Associated British Ports and served by the same gated car parks we list on our Southampton Cruise Port page.

Which ships use the Ocean terminal?

Ocean is a home port for P&O Cruises and Cunard, with Royal Caribbean, Princess and AIDA also calling. Arvia, Iona, Britannia, Queen Anne and Anthem of the Seas sail from here, but a cruise line is not fixed to one terminal — always check the berth number (Ocean is Berths 46 and 47) on your e-ticket.

Which dock gate is the Ocean terminal?

Ocean is behind Dock Gate 4 in the Eastern Docks, off the A33 Platform Road. This is a different entrance to the Western Docks terminals (City, Mayflower and Horizon), which use Dock Gate 8 or 10.

What if my ship docks back late?

There is no extra charge for a delay outside your control. Call the number on your confirmation when you can and we will let the site know to expect you later.
